The government has been extending all possible help to the Naxal-affected states which includes more funds for raising additional battalions, Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal told Lok Sabha.
Jaiswal said the government had set up a mechanism to bring about better coordination among the Naxal-affected states and the Union Home Secretary was coordinating with the states to counter the threat. He said out of 389 prisoners who escaped from the sub-divisional jail in Jehanabad on November 11, 222 had returned.
