New Delhi, Dec 17: Women’s World weight-lifitng silver-medallist N Kunjarani headed the list of 63 sportspersons, who were awarded cash prizes by the Human Resource Development Ministry in recognition of their medal winning performances in international events last year. Kunjarani, an inspector with the CRPF, was handed over a cheque of Rs 3,40,000 by the Union Minister for HRD, SR Bommai, at a ceremony here. Following her close on the list was another woman wrestler Karnam Malleswari with an award of Rs 2,00,000.
