The British Police has decided to set up a specialist team to tackle increasing incidents of violence within Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan communities here. The Scotland Yard’s specialist team will be based along the lines of Operation Trident set up to deal with crime within the Black communities, Metropoliton Police Assistant Commissioner Tariq Gaffur said. ‘‘This is about using what we have learned through Trident to nip it in the bud and reducing crime,’’ he said. — (PTI)
