March 16: The awards, a recognition of BPCL’s total commitment to best safety practices, were presented by the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Ram Naik at a function attended by senior executives of the oil industry at New Delhi recently. On behalf of BPCL the awards were received by their Director (Refinery) M B Lal and Director (Marketing) S Behuria.
BPCL has earlier won the best safety performance award under the category ‘LPG marketing organisation’ consecutively for 4 years since 1992-93. Under the category ‘Marketing organisations excluding LPG’ the coveted award was won during the year 1996-97 as well.
