KANCHEEPURAM, June 10: Twenty-four bootleggers including 11 women have been detained by the district police under the National Security Act. The arrests are part of the drive by the police to bring down illicit distillation of arrack in the district. Police are also maintaining strict vigil over IMFL shops in order to prevent sale of spurious liquor brands.
