• In Dhamdaha, voters had to choose between JD(U)’s Leshi Singh, widow of slain gangster Madhusadan Singh, and RJD’s Dileep Kumar Yadav, charged with murdering Singh. They chose Leshi.

• Bagha went to former Food & Civil Supplies Minister Purnamasi Ram. Ousted from the RJD government because of scandal, he contested on a JD(U) ticket.

• Alleged gangster Vijay Kumar Shukla alias Munna Shukla won from Lalgunj, defeating Veena Devi of RJD.

• Mokameh voters had a choice between two alleged gangsters and chose JD(U)’s Anant Kumar Singh

• At Rupauli in Purnea, s elf-styled commander of North Bihar Liberation Army, Shankar Singh, defeated Beema Bharati, wife of sitting MLA Awadesh Mandal, a murder accused in jail.
