Allaying the Sri Lankan government’s fears on the Sethusamudram Ship Canal Project, Union Shipping Minister T.R. Baalu on Saturday said the project would not harm the interests of that country “in any manner”.
The next round of talks with the Sri Lankan experts would be held in New Delhi on August 1, he said, adding that the channel would pave the way for the development of the Kangesanthurai port in Sri Lanka.
