After conducting a scrutiny of the answer sheets in the joint admission test (JAT) for medical and engineering colleges in Assam, the Guwahati High Court has found a lot of anomalies.

The scrutiny ordered by Justice P.G. Agarwal into some of the answer sheets, which a group of petitioners pointed out as anomalous, found that at least one such answer sheet contained three different handwritings. The court also found out incorrect totaling of marks in the case of another answer sheet.

A similar revelation was made by the high court when a group of candidates had complained about anomalies in the selection of candidates by the Assam Public Service Commission two years ago.

Meanwhile, the high court has asked the state government to issue a notification to the already selected candidates that their admission was subject to a final order of the court.
