HYDERABAD, SEPT 1: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) secretary V Suryabhaskar Rao has joined the ruling TDP after resigning from the primary membership of the party.
In a statement, Rao alleged that the APCC president Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy ignored the senior loyal Congress workers while selecting party nominees for the Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies.
Another city Congress leader P Surya Prakash Rao also resigned from the party on similar grounds, a release here said today.
In another development, well-known Telugu film hero Dr Rajasekhar joined ruling TDP on Tuesday.
