LUCKNOW, Jan 7: A section of Muslim leaders in the State have formed a Democratic Minority Front (DMF) and will join hands with “any party” which will not use them just as a vote bank. The Front will highlight the basic issues afflicting minorities. Congress leader Amar Rizvi, who is the convenor of the newly formed Front, said: “The Front is not merely a Muslim Front, it is for the entire minority section”.
At its maiden meeting on January 15, the Front plans to make an appeal to all “secular forces” to come together and fight against basic problems which the minority communities have to face.
