Anand, whose only loss in the tournament so far had been to Lev Aronian, split the point with him this time, after just 23 moves in a short game.
Anand has 7.5 points and is half a point ahead of Magnus Carlsen on 7.

Out of his remaining two games, Anand has one in white against Leko, who has been having a miserable tournament. In all likelihood, one point now should be enough for Anand to grab the title.
