THIRUVALLUR, June 22: The Tamil Nadu government has alloted Rs 5 crore towards efforts to make Ambattur a model municipality. The money will be used to purchase water tankers and install street lights, among other things. A rain water drain and underground drainage system are planned, and slum rehabilitation work will be undertaken.
