MUMBAI, MARCH 5: Mumbai Customs edged past Central Railway Mumbai Division 2-1 in the second round match of the Bombay Hockey Association Prize Money tournament at the Mahindra Stadium today.
Customs had to wait till the 27th minute before they went ahead following a goalmouth melee inside the circle. Leonard Pereira struck from close range to give Customs the first taste of blood.
The equaliser had a renewed CRMD grabbing the equaliser in the 36th minute through a field goal by Amrik Singh.
The winner, however, belonged to Customs. Short corner specialist Murli Agnishwar scored in the 44th minute through a penalty corner, past a stunned CRMD ‘keeper Joe D’Souza.
Customs will now meet Indian Navy in the first leg semi-final.
A new look Indian Navy mauled Companeroes 7-0 in the second match of the day.

Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engneering played a goalless draw with MH Saboo Siddik College. In another match, NYSS got past VJTI 2-1. Rahul Sawant and Anto Phillip scored for NYSS while Swapnil Desai scored a consolation goal for VJTI.
