Bollywood and fans worldwide have been grappling with the sudden loss of actress Shefali Jariwala, who tragically passed away from cardiac arrest on 27 June 2025 at the age of 42.
In happier times, Shefali had invited fans into her Oshiwara residence, sharing moments that revealed her love for warmth and comfort.
And her priority? Her four-legged child. “Main aapko milwana chahungi hamare ghar ke sabse important member se – yeh hai Mr Simba. Yeh unka ghar hai aur yeh unki favourite chair hai. Toh yeh unki jagah hai, baaki saari jagah hamari hai,” she told Times of India in a home tour video.
As she moved through the elegant home, we were greeted with a blend of natural textures, mindful design, and meaningful placements. Her dining area, for instance, is as wholesome as her philosophy: “Yeh mera dining area hai. Mujhe organic cheezein bahut zyada pasand hai. Dining table jo banaya hai woh real marble ka hai.”
The backdrop? A serene wall mural inspired by nature. “Wall par painting ki hui hai – nature ki, garden ki. Kyunki mujhe outdoors bahut pasand hai, toh thoda bahut ek piece of nature is tarah se main apne ghar pe leke aayi hoon with this customised wall paint.”
Her décor is rooted in sustainability, especially during festivals. “Yeh jitna aap décor dekh rahe hain, saara eco-friendly décor hai. Main koshish karti hoon har saal eco-friendly décor karne ki – Ganpati ho ya Diwali.”
Shefali also believed in energy alignment, with a special tip for abundance: “Mirror dining table ke saamne hona bahut zaroori hai mere liye. Aisa maine suna hai, Vaastu mein – ke dining table par hum khaana khate hain, khaane ki reflection mirror pe padti hai, matlab abundance aur prosperity laata hai.”
She added with a smile: “You can try that at your house – dining table ke saamne bada sa mirror rakh dijiye. It will bring you good luck and prosperity.”
“Aur yahaan main chill karti hoon aur apne favourite TV shows dekhti hoon,” the actor said of her living room.
However, it was the guest bedroom and her intimate reading corner that felt the most personal. She lit up describing her safe haven: “Hamara guest room bhi hai… aur jab mera mann karta hai ek achhi si kitaab padhne ka, coffee peene ka – that’s my favourite corner.”
She added lovingly, “Main yahaan baith ke, khidki ke paas… bahut hi achha view hai. Bas dekhti rehti hoon, apni coffee sip karti rehti hoon, apni kitaab padhti rehti hoon.”
The kitchen is minimalist and practical, anchored by a jumbo fridge. “Aur jumbo jet fridge lagta hai humein, kyunki Parag ka khaana-peena bhi waisa hi hai. Toh badi storage waala fridge hai.”
Shefali laughed candidly about her lack of cooking skills: “Waise mujhe khaana banana bilkul nahi aata hai. Kitchen mein main tab hi aati hun jab Parag ko company deti hun. Unko khaana banane ka bahut shauk hai.”
Even as the world shares grief, glimpses of Shefali’s home remind us of her love for simple pleasures and help us remember her in this way.
