What better way to enjoy the much-loved season of monsoon than to relish a hot cup of tea with some crispy bread pakoda? It’s not just us but also Juhi Parmar who agrees that the rainy season is incomplete without indulging in this delicious snack. “Monsoon, garma garam chai aur kehte hain Pakode, hai ke nahi?” she wrote on Instagram.

Additionally, Juhi wrote that even though the monsoons are about to end, she decided to enjoy a cheat day with scrumptious bread pakoda before the rain goes away. Don’t worry! The actor has shared her special recipe with her followers, too.

Here’s how you can dish out Juhi’s recipe for easy and crispy bread pakoda.

Ingredients

*Besan – 1 cup
*Rice flour – 2 spoon
*Red chilli powder – as per taste
*Salt – as per taste
*Ajwain – 1 pinch
*Bread
*Green chutney

Method

*In a bowl, take besan, rice flour, red chilli powder, salt, and ajwain.
*Add water as per desired consistency and mix everything well.
*Spread green chutney on your choice of bread.
*Layer it with another slice and apply ketchup on it. And, add another slice on top of it.
*Cut the pieces of bread diagonally.
*Dip it well in the besan batter and fry it.
*Place it on kitchen tissue and dab to take off the excess oil.

Your perfect rainy day snack, bread pakoda, is ready to be devoured!

In an earlier interaction with indianexpress.com, Suvidhi Jain, lifestyle, exercise, and nutrition coach and founder, LEAN by Suvidhi said, “If you want to make your bread pakoda healthier, you can pan fry them with a little spray oil and then bake or air fry them to achieve crispiness, while reducing their calorie count. ”

While it’s okay to indulge in fried bread pakodas occasionally, it’s important to avoid frequent consumption, the expert said.
