Archana Puran Singh has always been candid about her married life with Parmeet Sethi, with whom she has two sons. In a recent episode on her channel, the actor admitted that, like other couples, they also fight a lot.
“People who think that husband and wife don’t fight and there is only love, it’s not like that. We fight a lot. Tu tu main main hoti hai lekin pyar jo hai, woh tu tu main main ko thik kar deti hai. (We fight. But our love conquers everything else). That’s the most important thing. People say Archana-Parmeet are a perfect couple, but nothing is perfect. We have to work hard in our marriage. And for so many years, our marriage has been sustained, which means we have done something right. Lado jhagdo par phir se ek saath ho jao (Fight it out but be together).”
For Valentine’s Day this year, Sethi wrote a heartfelt song for his lady love, while Singh, who underwent surgery for a wrist injury on a film set, surprised him with a dinner date.
But this is not the first time Archana Puran Singh has opened up about their story. During an episode on The Kapil Sharma Show in 2023, she recounted visiting an astrologer and showing him their birth charts.
“After many years of my marriage, I happened to visit a famous astrologer in Delhi. He asked me how my married life had been. He said, ‘Tumhari kundaliyan dekhi (I saw your birth charts). If these had come to me, I would have said this marriage shouldn’t take place. He said, your planets are different or something along those lines,” shared Singh.
She added, “But we proved astrology reading wrong,” shared Singh, who has been married to Sethi for over 32 years.
During the same episode, Sethi opened up about the uniqueness of their relationship.
“Our physicalities match. And our mental tuning has been perfect. That is the reason we got married,” said Sethi.
The video has resurfaced on the internet, with some users sharing their own experiences and others commenting on the need for mental tuning.
“Same with me also. But now I celebrated 30th anniversary,” said one user, while another wrote, “Actually mental bonding, as they said, is more important…for successful life…and partnership”. Yet another commented, “Your every word is valuable and I can relate to this whole situation”.
