The supermodels are back with a bang! The legendary supermodels of the 1990s, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Naomi Campbell, reunited at an event in London.
The OG supermodels joined forces for an epic walk down the runway at The Vogue World event, ensuring that everyone knew they were still in control. This comes before the release of their upcoming Apple TV+ documentary, The Super Models. As Annie Lennox played a Sweet Dreams medley to finish the night, the foursome joined hands on stage and completed a lap around the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Campbell, Crawford, Evangelista, and Turlington strolled hand in hand while donning silver clothing with the exception of Campbell.
Evangelista donned a flowing, sequin-covered Valentino halter dress with a collar detail, while Crawford chose a sheer, beaded Versace midi. Campbell’s banded, slashed McQueen was accented with matching ankle boots, while Turlington donned an asymmetrical neckline, beautiful, shining silver Fendi gown.
The supermodels returned to the stage amidst cheering and red rose bouquets after their lap to boisterous applause.
“My reaction was, is this really happening?” Campbell, 53, told Vogue US in a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot. “Just to get us all together shooting with Edward [Enninful] and Anna [Wintour], it was a joy,” she added.
“One of my favorite things about the fashion industry is these friendships from people all over the world,” noted Crawford, 57. “The hair, the makeup, Edward, it really is like your second family.”
In the cover interview for the publication, Campbell added, “I’m blessed that I came up at that time; I wouldn’t have wanted to come up at another time.”
The supermodels attended the occasion following their return to the cover of the September issue, also referred to as the fashion issue each year.
The opening of London Fashion Week, which began with an extravagant fashion spectacle brought fashion month over to the other side of the pond after New York Fashion Week came to an end.
The occasion attracted notable celebrities, royals, and eye-catching maternity looks (We bow down to you, Sienna) to the British capital, but it also managed to attract the OG supers and other big names in fashion for an epic reunion.
