Sonam Kapoor is undeniably a trailblazing fashion icon who consistently raises the bar with her style choices on every public outing. A recent example of her impeccable fashion sense was showcased at the 2023 Business of Fashion’s (BoF) 500 Gala. It’s worth noting that Sonam became a part of the BoF 500 index back in 2013, recognising her outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.
“Sonam Kapoor attends the BoF 500 Gala 2023. She gained recognition as a successful actress for her roles in ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ which earned her various best actress nominations. She joined the BoF 500 index in 2013,” wrote BoF, sharing a stunning picture of Sonam.
The 38-year-old can be seen wearing a striking white dress from Valentino’s Resort 2024 collection. It featured a flowing silhouette, a plunging neckline, orange embellishments elongated full sleeves that cascaded down, and a floor-sweeping train. It was her choice of accessories that elevated this look further. She opted for stone clustered earrings in an ombre hue of red and white from Valentino Un Chateau.
To add further glam to her look, Sonam opted for shimmery eyeshadow, mascara-laden eyes, winged eyeliner, filled-in eyebrows, a hint of blush, glossy nude lip colour, and oodles of highlighter. Her long tresses cascaded beautifully to her waist in middle-parted soft curls.
BoF also shared a behind-the-scenes video of Sonam getting ready for the gala, which was attended by the likes of Naomi Campbell, Daniel Lee, Jared Leto, Coco Rocha, Kris Jenner, etc. In the video, she said, “I am very excited to go to the BoF Gala. I was part of the first BoF 500 list. I think it’s such a privilege to be a part of this group of people who are trying to change the way people look at fashion. I am so glad to be a part of this for the last 10 years.”
She added, “Valentino as a brand is something that signifies beauty. I feel beautiful every time I wear a Valentino creation. The Business of Fashion is doing something important by celebrating people who are not only front-facing but also those who work behind the scenes in such a huge industry that is fashion.”
