From Alia Bhatt to Janhvi Kapoor: Fashion hits and misses (July 17-23)

The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani stars are delivering back-to-back sartorial moments for the promotional events of the film. Recently, the duo was spotted in fashion-forward outfit as they graced an event in Mumbai. While Alia sported a pastel blue sari teamed with a matching blouse, Ranveer donned an all-white pantsuit, including a turtleneck top, a blazer and pants. Alia accessorised her look with jhumkis while Ranveer kept it dapper in tinted sunglasses and casual sneakers.

While we love coordinated outfits with matching prints, we also believe it is important to balance the look. Too many matching pieces can be a serious fashion blunder. Proof of the same is Huma Qureshi’s latest appearance in an abstract-printed dress with a matching trench coat. We love her hair and makeup, but unfortunately that is not enough to save her look!

HIT- Kajol Devgan

The Trial actor is known for her sartorial prowess. As such, she was recently seen arriving at Manish Malhotra’s fashion show in a bright ombre pink sequinned sari. Kajol is definitely giving Barbie a run for her money with her desi Barbiecore fit. Plus, her rosy makeup and straight up do elevate her look even more!

MISS- Janhvi Kapoor

We adore prints, sequins and bling, but the three combined can prove to be a fashion disaster as seen with Janhvi’s latest look. While we absolutely love the fitted silhouette of the outfit that perfectly accentuates the Mili actor’s svelte figure, we also despise the exaggerated look. There is just too much going on and we can’t seem to make sense of the ensemble.

HIT- Sara Ali Khan

Easy, breezy, and cool–that’s how we would describe Sara’s outfit. The Kedarnath actor looked like the girl next door in this vibrant yellow mini dress with frills on the hem. She paired the look with casual sneakers and ditched other accessories–letting her outfit do all the talking. With her tresses done in a voluminous blowout, she kept her makeup minimal with pink tones.

MISS- Parineeti Chopra

You would think that Parineeti can do no wrong when it comes to her fashion choices, but the B-town diva can too make us call the fashion police. In her latest look, she wore a mustard yellow midi dress teamed with aviator sunglasses and gladiator sandals. While we love the colour of her outfit–perfect for a sunny day–we are not a fan of the oversized proportions of her outfit. They do not flatter the actor’s curvaceous figure, to say the least.

HIT- Khushi Kapoor

Khushi is proving to be a fashion icon for the Gen-Z population. Recently, the Archies actor was spotted wearing a head-to-toe black outfit, featuring a semi-sheer gown embellished with intricate embroidery and delicate sequins. She paired the look with a matching black bodysuit underneath. Styling her hair in a middle-parted sleek ponytail, she opted for nude makeup to round it off.

MISS- Rashmika Mandanna and Tiger Shroff

Rashmika and Tiger usually impress us with their fashion sense, but their latest appearance is not-it. While we enjoy the colour blocked trend, the Mission Majnu actor’s outfit is proof that one can go wrong when colour blocking by choosing the wrong shades on the colour wheel. On the other hand, Tiger’s outfit is too underwhelming for an outing in the city. The pair can do better in terms of styling as well!
