Cannes 2024: Ratna Pathak Shah looks lovely in her own sari, Prateik Babbar wears mother Smita Patil’s scarf for Manthan screening

Ratna Pathak Shah looked absolutely lovely as she attended the screening of the restored version of Shyam Benegal’s Manthan at Cannes 2024. We loved that the actor chose to wear a sari to the coveted event. But it was not any sari, turns out she picked one from her own closet. According to clothing brand re-ceremonial, Ratna wore her own sari “paired with the most beautiful jacket and blouse in plant-dyed, handwoven Himroo from recycled cotton”. The Dhak Dhak actor accessorried her look with a statement neckpiece along with earrings, a bracelet, and a ring. She kept her salt pepper hair loose and carried a handbag to complete the look.

She was styled by fashion stylist Ruhani Singh. “I couldn’t be more excited,” wrote Singh on her Instagram Stories.

Ratna was accompanied by her husband Naseeruddin Shah, and actor Prateik Babbar.

Naseeruddin was seen wearing an ivory sherwani with plain-white pants. For the screening of his late mother’s film, Babbar was seen wearing a custom Rohit Gandhi Rahul Khanna black tuxedo and was carrying a prized possession that belonged to his mother.

According to DietSabya, the the Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na actor styled the tuxedo with his mother’s black and white scarf. He completed the look with a pair of black wayfarers and hair neatly tied in a man bun.
