Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are undoubtedly one of India’s top power couples. As Ganesh Chaturthi begins in the country with great fervour and enthusiasm, the duo, among many other celebrities, welcomed Ganpati Bappa into their homes.
The actor shared a couple of photos from their celebrations at home with her husband-cricketer Virat Kohli. As Anushka gave a sneak peek into the festivities, many of her friends and followers poured in their heartfelt wishes.
“Happy Ganesh Chaturthi,” she captioned the post.
In the first image, the idol of Lord Ganesha can be seen, adorned with garlands, holding a modak while he is seated on a throne against a backdrop of vibrant floral decorations.
The subsequent photo showcased Anushka dressed in a traditional Kanjeevaram sari in red and golden hues, from the shelves of designer Gaurang Shah. Assisted by celebrity stylist Priyanka Kapadia Badani, she paired the traditional drape with a matching half-sleeve blouse and temple jewellery. With her hair neatly tied in a bun and minimal makeup, she exuded ethnic charm.
On the other hand, Virat looked dapper in a white kurta-pyjama set, tamed with a classic watch. His neatly trimmed beard and sleek hairdo further accentuated his look. The couple complemented each other’s looks in contrasting ensembles!
The final photo from her festive diaries shows a brief glimpse of their adorable daughter, Vamika Kohli. A family friend can be seen holding the little one in his arms while the parents are performing the puja.
In the comment section, fellow actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu dropped multiple heart emojis, while Karisma Kapoor dropped flower, heart and folded hand emojis. Meanwhile, Saba Ali Khan’s comment read, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.”
Fans of Virushka also showered their love by dropping comments like “Best Couple”, “Cuties”, and “He looks perfect, and she makes him perfect”, on the post.
