All the candidates appearing in the UPSC Civil Services Exam have to carry their admit cards as well as a valid ID proof to the exam hall. The second shift for UPSC CIvil Services Exam (Preliminary) has concluded.
Aspirants will appear for the CSAT exam today from 2:30 pm onwards. It was introduced in the year 2011 as a part of the UPSC Civil Services Exam (Preliminary) to test the analytical skills, reasoning ability and aptitude of civil services aspirants.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will offer free UPSC coaching to candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC). Along with other topics, the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2022 also saw some questions related to the most recent global crisis i.e coronavirus pandemic and its vaccines.
Questions related to Covid, and Aarogya Setu were asked in the paper. There were also some questions on Indian Heritage and culture, which were largely based on current events.
Aspirants rated that the paper this year was tougher than the last few years. There were various tech-related questions in paper. Questions related to Web 3.0 were also asked.
While the question might be easy and factual, it does not require much application of the concepts learned. But, it may take a little more time to solve. The accuracy level is to be higher.
"The new question pattern was tricky and challenging. Overall I found the exam tougher as more questions were asked from core environment topics," an aspirant shared.
UPSC Prelims 2023 is scheduled for May 28, 2023. The registration process for the examination would begin in February 2023. Calendar for the UPSC examinations has already been released and available on upsc.gov.in.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts — the morning session began at 9:30 am, while the afternoon session will commence at 2:30 pm. Candidates were advised to arrive at the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exams. Entry gates were closed 10 minutes before the exams. No candidates were allowed inside the examination hall after the closure of the entry gate.
