2 dead as wall collapses in Ujjain’s Mahakal temple

The families of the deceased will be given a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each and the injured will get Rs 50,000 for treatment, Ujjain collector said.

At least two persons, including a woman, were killed after a boundary wall of the Mahakal Temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain collapsed on Friday, news agency PTI reported.

The deceased were identified as Farheen (22) and Ajay Yogi (27), according to district chief medical and health officer A K Patel.

Four persons were trapped under the debris as a portion of the boundary wall of the Maharajwada school building collapsed, Ujjain collector Neeraj Kumar Singh told PTI.


The families of the deceased will be given a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each and the injured will get Rs 50,000 for treatment, he added.
