A tense exchange took place at Wani helipad in Yavatmal district when EC officials requested to inspect former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s bag after his helicopter landed. The demand visibly angered Thackeray, who questioned the officials on camera, expressing concerns over what he perceived as “targeted scrutiny”.

In the video circulated by the Shiv Sena UBT, Thackeray questioned the necessity of the inspection and challenged the officials to apply similar measures to leaders from the ruling party. He also demanded that the inspections be documented on video and shared publicly, as evidence of impartial enforcement.
