Two more Oppn MPs suspended from Lok Sabha, total suspensions in Parliament reach 143

The Lok Sabha on Wednesday suspended two more opposition MPs for showing placards in the House, taking the total number of suspended MPs in the House to 97.

With this, 143 opposition leaders have been suspended from the two Houses of Parliament his Winter Session for “disruption of House proceedings.”

On Tuesday, 49 opposition MPs were suspended from Lok Sabha. On Monday, soon after the suspension of 33 Opposition Members of Parliament from the Lok Sabha, a total of 45 MPs were suspended from the Rajya Sabha.
