Teacher arrested for eloping with girl student in UP

A teacher was arrested after the family of a class 11 girl student alleged that he kidnapped her on the pretext of marriage.

Pramod was arrested yesterday after the girl’s father complained to the police that he had kidnapped his daughter who used to go to him for tuitions since last two months in Piwari village,police said.

Pramod had called the girl from his phone on May 31 and both fled to Mohanpura town to marry,they said.

The family was informed that the two were spotted in the town after which an FIR against the teacher was filed on Wednesday.

The girl has been sent for medical examination,they said.
