Man offers finger in temple for Nitish’s victory

A 31-year-old man chopped off his finger for celebrating victory of Nitish Kumar-led NDA in Bihar.

A 31-year-old man on Thursday severed his ring finger and offered it to a deity at a temple for celebrating the landslide victory of the NDA in the recent Bihar Assembly elections.

Anil Sharma,a resident of Oena village in Jehanabad,went to the temple this morning,severed his finger and offered it to the deity,officials said.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment,they said. Anil said he had chopped off his finger for celebrating the victory of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA and Rahul Kumar,son of Jehanabad Lok Sabha MP Jagdish Sharma,from Ghosi Assembly constituency in the district.
