J-K sanctions Rs 36.35 lakh ex-gratia for militancy victims

In the meeting,the cases of victims of militancy were discussed and 52 of them were considered for sanction of ex-gratia relief.

Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned an ex-gratia relief of Rs 36.35 lakh,to be distributed among 52 victims of militancy-related violence in the district.

The ex-gratia relief was sanctioned by District level screening-cum-coordination committee,which met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy commissioner of Srinagar Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo here,an official spokesman said on Wednesday.

In the meeting,the cases of victims of militancy were discussed and 52 of them were considered for sanction of ex-gratia relief,compensation and for entitlement of benefit under SRO-43,which provide a job to the next of kin of those killed in violence,he said,adding,ex-gratia sanctioned was to the tune of Rs 36,35,000.
