JK govt mulls increase of teachers’ HRA

To improve educational standards at the elementary level,the J-K govt is mulling increasing House Rent Allowance of teachers.

To improve educational standards at the elementary level,the Jammu and Kashmir government is mulling increasing House Rent Allowance (HRA) and incentives of teachers working in remote areas.

“Incentives will be given to teachers who will work in far-flung areas for further improvement of educational standards at the elementary level,” Director School Education Gulzar Ahmed Qureshi said at a high-level meeting of the education department here today.

He said increase in the HRA of those serving in far-flung areas is also under active consideration of the government.

Qureshi asked the education department functionaries to concentrate on improvement of education standards at the elementary level to attain better results at the higher levels of schooling.
