Indian Railways Vande Bharat Sleeper launch date: Indian Railways (IR) is set to launch much-awaited Vande Bharat Sleeper train next month. This new semi-high-speed train will further transform the rail connectivity in the country. Built by BEML with ICF technology, this new age train will redefine the overnight journeys.
Speaking at an event in Bhavnagar, Gujarat on Sunday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will be introduced soon. “Vande Sleeper is coming very soon – in September,” he said. He added that trains like Namo Bharat, Amrit Bharat, Vande Bharat, and the upcoming Vande Sleeper will play a key role in transforming the country’s rail infrastructure.

Vaishnaw flagged off three new train services: the Bhavnagar Terminus–Ayodhya Cantt Express, the Rewa–Pune Express, and a new train connecting Jabalpur to Raipur.
The route for India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train has not yet been finalised. The final decision will be taken by the Railway Board.
Vande Bharat Sleeper Coach
India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have 16 coaches divided into three classes: AC 1st Class, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier. The train has a total capacity of 1,128 passengers.
Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been designed to run at a maximum speed up to 180 kmph.

Vande Bharat Sleeper train is equipped with a range of world-class features, including an integrated reading light with USB charging provision, public announcement and visual information systems, inside display panels and security cameras, modular pantries, and special berths and toilets for differently-abled passengers. Additionally, the 1st AC car offers showers with hot water, enhancing passenger comfort.
