Remembering artist Shiv Singh: Painting competition held for students at Panchkula school

More than 60 students from various schools of the city participated in the competition that was organised to pay tribute to noted artist late Shiv Singh.

An inter-school painting competition on the theme ‘Panchkula 2025’ was organised at Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, Saturday.

More than 60 students from various schools of the city participated in the competition that was organised to pay tribute to noted artist late Shiv Singh.

An exhibition of photographs clicked by local artist Ajay Bhatia was also organised under the aegis of Panchkula Arts and Music Society (PANCHAM).

The event was inaugurated by Vivek Atray, Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula. “This endeavour is an effort to provide an intellectual and interdisciplinary platform for various forms of art practices and discourses,” he said.

Principal Jaya Bhardwaj said that such exhibitions and competitions provided the much-needed finesse to enjoy the creative aspects of life.
