The Mahayuti is headed for a landslide victory in what is a resounding reversal of its recent setback in the Lok Sabha polls, as projections show the ruling alliance leading in 225 Assembly seats, far ahead of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi’s 55.

Modi also reacted on the Jharkhand election results, where the BJP-led NDA is poised to lose to the Congress-led INDIA bloc. The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), an ally of Congress both at the state and central level, is leading in 57 of the 81 seats, while the NDA holds 23.

“Congratulation Hemant Soren-led JMM and the ruling alliance for their victory”, he said, “I thank the people of Jharkhand for their support towards us. We will always be at the forefront of raising people’s issues and working for the state.”
