Congress a disciple of Pakistan, Islamabad rooting for Rahul Gandhi as PM, says Modi

Aisi kamzor sarkar, jo Mumbai 26/11 ka aatankee hamle ke samay thi… dossier bhejne wali… jaise 2014 se pehle desh me thi. Modi ki mazboot sarkar nahi jhukti hai, aur nahi rukti hai,” Modi said.

The strong Modi government does not bow down, it does not stop.”)

Modi reiterated that instead of handing dossiers, his government “killed terrorists in their homes”. “Until a few years ago, Pakistan was like a bugbear… But today, its tyre of terrorism has been punctured. The country that was exporting terrorism is now going from door-to-door to import wheat… Where it once held grenades, it now holds a begging bowl,” he said.

Modi was campaigning for the party’s candidates for Anand (Mitesh Patel) and Kheda (Devusinh Chauhan) constituencies, which have a significant population of Kshatriyas. The BJP has been facing protests from the community over adverse remarks made by its Rajkot candidate, Parshottam Rupala.

Accusing the Congress of trying to divide the country, Modi reiterated his earlier claim that the Opposition party wanted to change the Constitution to appease Muslims. “The Congress has dedicated itself to the Muslim League. It kept Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC communities in the dark and cheated them… The Congress’s conspiracy to steal from the SC, ST, OBC quota and hand it to the Muslim community has also been exposed,” he said. He challenged the Congress to give a “written undertaking to the country” that it would not change the reservation policy.

“The Congress only cares about its minority votebank… It wants to change the Constitution to give away the reservations meant for others to Muslims. But it is the BJP’s guarantee, and Modi’s guarantee, that there will be no reservation on the basis of religion,” he said.

“In this country, there were two Constitutions, two flags, two PMs… The Constitution of India was not implemented in Kashmir, as Article 370 was in the way. I, the son of Sardar (Vallabhbhai) Patel’s soil, reduced Article 370 to rubble and have paid the highest tribute to Sardar Patel. I have not only built the Statue of Unity as a tribute, but I have unfurled the national flag in Kashmir to fulfil his dream,” Modi said.

Referring to Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Maria Alam’s call for a “vote jihad”, Modi alleged that the Congress had given its “silent consent” to its INDIA ally. While he did not name Alam, who is the niece of Congress leader Salman Khurshid, Modi said: “The INDI Alliance has asked Muslims for vote jihad… We have heard of love jihad and land jihad… This call does not come from a teenager from a madrasa, but from a highly qualified member of a family of a senior Congress leader, who has urged Muslims across the country to unify and participate in a vote jihad. And, as expected, the Congress has not opposed, but given its silent consent.”
