‘Every decision, action guided by desire to improve lives’: PM Modi on 9 years in power

'Every decision made, every action taken, has been guided by the desire to improve the lives of people. We will keep working even harder to build a developed India,' the Prime Minister tweeted on Tuesday morning.

With his government completing what he described as “nine years of unwavering dedication to the nation’s growth”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he was filled with humility and gratitude.

“Every decision made, every action taken, has been guided by the desire to improve the lives of people. We will keep working even harder to build a developed India,” the Prime Minister tweeted on Tuesday morning.


The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a month-long campaign from Tuesday to celebrate the ninth anniversary with various mass connect programmes, with Modi himself scheduled to address a rally in Ajmer in Rajasthan on Wednesday.

Senior BJP leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers, had on Monday highlighted the government’s achievements in a nationwide outreach.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that India’s stature in the world has grown and that the country’s security — internal as well as external — has strengthened since the Narendra Modi-led BJP came to power at the Centre.
Addressing a press conference along with Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri in Lucknow, the CM said that UP has got maximum benefits of the Centre’s welfare and infrastructure development programmes.

Centre doesn’t differentiate between states: Mandaviya

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday refuted allegations of ‘step-motherly’ treatment to TMC-ruled West Bengal and said that the BJP-led government at the Centre never differentiates between states ruled by non-BJP parties.

Addressing a press conference in Kolkata, Mandaviya listed the achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government. The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Modi had successfully taken the country forward in various directions. He also said the Modi government had not only strengthened democracy by empowering the marginalised sections in the past nine years but had also taken “revolutionary steps” for the welfare of the people.

New chapter of growth written in 9 years of Modi rule : Shekhawat

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Monday said that a new chapter of growth and fast-paced development has been written in nine years of BJP rule at the Centre under PM Modi.

The country is touching new heights under the leadership of Modi and is on track to become the world’s third largest economy, the union minister for Jal Shakti said interacting with reporters.

“In the last nine years the nation has moved from the politics of dynasty, corruption and appeasement to one of development, growth, unity and nationalism …. The journey of the Modi government has strengthened democracy in the real sense by empowering the poor and marginalised sections of the society.”

“The Centre took revolutionary steps for the poor and the marginalised in the nine years under Modi Ji,” he said.
