Tremors in Mumbai,western Maharashtra with magnitude 5.0

The earthquake originated at Koyna region at latitude of 17.2 deg North and Longitude of 73.8 deg East,Met office said.

Tremors were felt in Sangli,Osmanabad,Ratnagiri and Satara districts and minor shocks were felt in Mumbai suburbs.

There were no immediate reports of any damage to life or property due to the quake,sources said.

In Mumbai,a number of people felt the mild tremors,and came out of their buildings and the weather office and the the police control room received several calls.
