Press Council Chairman Justice Markandey Katju today rubbished media reports which claimed there he had walked out of a meeting of the general council of a journalism university in Bhopal following disagreement between him and others.
Katju said,”He had never walked out of a meeting” of the General Council of Makhan Lal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication and such reports were “total concoctions.”
“There was a discussion about the courses and expansion plans for the University” and nothing out of the normal happened at the meeting Katju said.
Katju said anyone suggesting that there was a disagreement at the meeting following which he had walked out was only “spreading lies”.
