Medical,engineering admission racket busted in Delhi

They said Goel was allegedly trying to secure the admission of his son Nayan in Bachelor of Dental Surgery course in a college associated with Indraprastha University through fraudulent means.

In the process,he approached Pasha who demanded Rs 30 lakh for making a dummy candidate appear in place of Nayan in the written examination held on June 9,2012,the sources alleged.

“Rs 10 lakh were allegedly paid in advance by Arun Goel after his son was declared successful in the entrance examination through dubious means. Balance amount of Rs 20 lakh was to be paid after confirmation of admission after counseling on July 18,” they said.

CBI nabbed Nayan along with Pasha while the former was delivering the remainder Rs 20 lakh,the sources said.

They said CBI is looking for other persons who were part of the gang.

The sources said initial investigation has revealed that Pasha under the cover of running an educational consultancy was allegedly involved in arranging dummy candidates and using unlawful means for manipulating admissions in various medical and engineering entrance examinations.
