Lookout notices have been issued at all airports in India for the detention of US evangelist and preacher William Lee,who allegedly violated visa norms by conducting a musical convention here,police said.
“A case has been registered against Lee,who conducted the convention at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here yesterday violating visa norms. He had come to India on a tourist visa,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Ernakulam) Sunil Jacob said.
He said police has got his mobile number and was tracking him through the cyber cell.
Lee had conducted a programme ‘Musical Splash’,organised by Faith Leaders Church of God,a Christian congregation.
Police said they had gone to the venue to take him into custody but he had managed to escape.
