As Anna Hazare announced his plans to campaign against the Congress if the Jan Lokpal bill was not passed in Parliament, activist Kiran Bedi today said their movement was still apolitical and the anti-corruption crusader was only trying to give an “advance notice” to the government.

“The movement is aimed at getting a law for a strong Lokpal be passed by the government in the Winter Session of Parliament as they have promised. Anna is putting them on notice,” Bedi said.

She said the movement still remained apolitical and what Hazare was trying to do was to give an “advance notice” to government.

Her remarks came as Hazare announced that he will campaign against it in election-bound states if the Centre fails to get his version of the anti-corruption bill passed in

Parliament’s Winter Session.

Another Team Anna member Justice Santosh Hegde said he was “sceptical” about the Lokpal Bill getting passed in the Winter session.

“I am not sure about that it will happen. If it happens,it will be good,” he said.

Asked about BJP’s letter of support for Jan Lokpal bill,he said he was not sure that any political party will fully support.
