A 48-year-old man from Kerala who had gone missing from Abu Dhabi allegedly to join ISIS has died in a Pakistan prison, it is learnt.

The Pakistan government has informed the Union Home Ministry that the body of Zulfikar will be handed over at the Attari border, according to official sources.

There was mystery around Zulfikar of Kappur in Palakkad district going missing as intelligence agencies prima facie believed that he had left Abu Dhabi to join the ISIS. “He had left Kerala in 2018. Him going missing from Abu Dhabi has been under the scanner of intelligence agencies. We have information that he had moved to Iran and later landed in a Pakistan jail. Further details are being probed into,” official sources said.
