A 30-year-old woman narrowly escaped a major accident when her car was hit by a crane at the Metro construction site on M G Road near Sultanpur.

A 30-year-old woman narrowly escaped a major accident when her car was hit by a crane at the Metro construction site on M G Road near Sultanpur,Ghitorni,on Monday. Shalini Kohli,a resident of Kalkaji in South Delhi,was on her way to office in Gurgaon driving a Wagon R.

“A crane was parked in the middle of the road. Just as I was crossing the stretch,it reversed without giving any indicator. I applied brakes but by then the crane had already hit the left side of my car. Fortunately,I escaped without any injuries,” she Shalini who added that the driver was apologetic and said he had got confused. However,the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) played it down saying it was a minor accident and denied that it was the crane driver’s fault.
