The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Centre to file a comprehensive report over its compliance with the court-mandated 15 safety measures on commissioning of the Kudankulam nuclear plant.

A bench led by Justice K S Radhakrishnan asked Attorney General G E Vahanvati to file the report within three weeks with specific information regarding compliance with each and every guideline. The court passed the order where the petitioner alleged that the plant had been commissioned in grave disregard of the safety guidelines that had to be put in place before making it operational.
