Punjab govt to bring back martyr’s notes from London

The Punjab government will approach the Centre to bring back handwritten documents of Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra that are in a British Library in London,Cabinet Minister Anil Joshi said on Saturday.

Speaking at a state-level function to mark the martyrdom day of Dhingra here,Joshi also said that the government will bring an ordinance to ensure Dhingra’s biography is part of the school syllabus. “We should adopt the path laid by the great martyrs and patriots to make the country prosperous. Youth should come forward to fulfil the dreams of the martyrs,” Joshi said while addressing a gathering. He also announced to establish a Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra Memorial at Amritsar and handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to Sarup Rani College.
