In a tragic incident,a 45-year-old man allegedly killed his three children before committing suicide.
Chandrashekhar Janardan Ranavare hanged his kids Shreyas (6),Shivam (4) and Komal (8) — in their home in Baner area this morning with the help of cloth ropes,Sub-Inspector M N Walekar said.
Ranavare later hanged himself,he said,adding his another daughter Dhanashree (10) escaped as the rope got loosened.
His wife Varsha had left home on November 23 after a domestic fight and went to her mother’s residence,Walekar said.
However,it was not clear what was the immediate provocation for Ranavare to commit the murders,he said.
