Congress on Friday sought to put the AAP as also the Centre in the dock over the death of Gajendra Singh saying the whole episode raises disturbing question whether the Rajasthan farmer was actually “pushed and provoked” into the act.
Party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters that right now he was not alleging murder, but the way the death has taken place raises disturbing questions like whether Gajendra was “pushed and provoked to do this theatrics”. He said that it was a matter which is for the police to establish.
Singhvi said the issue of Gajendra Singh’s death continues to raise extremely troubling questions of political cynicism and political hypocrisy, “not only of omission but possibly of commission”.

Insisting that there was direct responsibility of the government at the Centre and more importantly of Delhi state government for the incident, he wondered why safeguards were not put in place. You were not going to some children park to play some children game.
“Why did you organise a rally without putting in place adequate safeguards?” he asked the AAP. He questioned as to why the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did not stop the speech. “Why did you not stop the speech.”
