Four days after a 26-year-old youth was beaten to death near Mahatma Phule Mandai,the Vishrambaug police have arrested three persons on the charge of murder.
The police said the three killed Rajesh Krushna Vaduskar over a past enmity.
They could trace the suspects as one of them had made a call to the control room informing about the attack.
Vaduskar was brutally assaulted after an altercation near Mandai late on Wednesday and he succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a hospital on Thursday. His family owns a shop of artifacts made from bamboo near Mandai. The three accused are Shrikant Bhogade,Kalpesh Bhagat and Swapnil Warpe,said senior inspector Arjun Sakunde. One of the suspects had called the police control room and we arrested the trio.
