Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated all successful UPSC aspirants and prodded the rest to continue their efforts for a better future.


It is the first time that the final results have been declared within four days of the closing date for the interviews.

According to the press note published on the website, a total of 1,236 candidates have been recommended for appointment. This year’s toppers are Ira Singhal, Renu Raj and Nidhi Gupta. Four out of the five toppers are women.

Ira Singhal, a physically handicapped IRS officer from Delhi, topped the Civil services examination in which the top four positions went to women.
