The deadline for the central government employees to file details of their assets and liabilities, along with that of their spouses and dependent children, as mandated under the Lokpal Act, has now been extended for the third time till October 15. The last date for filing such returns was April 30. It has now been extended till October 15, 2015, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) stated.

Under the rules notified under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, all public servants have been mandated to file declaration, information and annual returns pertaining to their assets and liabilities as on March 31 every year or on or before July 31 of that year.
