The Indian Express Legal Editor Maneesh Chhibber was on Sunday awarded the National Law Day Award for 2015 by the International Council of Jurists (ICJ) at a function organised here.
Former Chief Justice of India and Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission Justice K G Balakrishnan and Chief Justice of Bangladesh Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha jointly presented the award to him.

Apart from Chhibber, NGT Chairperson Swatanter Kumar, former SC judge B S Chauhan and Union Law Secretary P K Malhotra were among those honoured at the function organised by the ICJ, All India Bar Association and the University of Mumbai’s Department of Law. Eminent lawyer and former law minister Ram Jethmalani, Bombay HC Chief Justice Mohit Shah and ICJ president Adish C Aggarwala were among those present at the occasion.
