A 37-year-old woman was raped on Wednesday allegedly by a businessman and his accomplice when she went to his office in south Delhi seeking a job,police said.
The incident came to light when the victim herself made a call to police at around 4 pm claiming that she was raped by one Ramesh Verma,who deals in furniture.
The woman said she lives in Pitampura along with her husband Sanjay and had gone to Verma’s shop seeking a job.
She said that Verma called her inside his cabin and offered her some biscuit,following which she became unconscious and then Verma and his accomplice allegedly raped her.
Police said they were investigating the matter.
In another incident,a 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape his four-and-half-year-old neighbour here.
